ABSTRACT: Surgical treatment of a diffusion toxic craw leads to significant improvement of quality of life of patients. Authentically significant improvement of quality of life is defined in 6 months after operation. In process of increase in postoperative term, the distinct tendency to the further growth of quality of life is noted. Statistical processing of the received results demonstrates existence of moderate return correlation communication between level an index of quality of life and duration of a disease, the disease, the lower quality is more long than life. The conclusion is drawn that studying quality of life after operation of patients with a diffusion toxic craw is objective criterion of efficiency of expeditious treatment.
In order to study QOL in the postoperative period, a study was conducted using the methodology developed in the clinic of faculty and hospital surgery of the BSMI, studying both the general level of QOL and its individual components - with the calculation of the so-called quality of life index (QOLI). A total of 111 patients with DTG were examined, divided into two groups: the first - 56 patients who underwent subtotal subfascial strumectomy in Mykolaiv, the second - 55 patients who underwent TTE. The control group included practically healthy individuals (n=40) consisting of 20 women and 20 men. The age range was from 21 to 41 years.
Upon a more detailed examination of the issues included in the specific module, it was found that some patients after surgical treatment of DTG are disturbed by psychoemotional symptoms in the form of nervousness, labile mood, tearfulness and irritability, as well as episodes of tachycardia, weight gain (on average by 2.6 ± 5.5 kg). However, again, when comparing the results obtained, there were no significant differences in the studied groups. According to the results of the study, in patients of group 1, in comparison with the control group, a decrease in the following indicators of quality of life was registered: physical condition, social function, emotional function, economic condition, perception of their health.
Surgical treatment of DTG leads to a significant improvement in the quality of life of patients. A significantly significant improvement in QOLI is determined as early as 6 months after surgery. As the postoperative period increases, there is a clear trend towards a further increase in QOLI. When comparing the indicative quality of life of patients after subtotal resection of the thyroid gland and after thyroidectomy, we found no significant differences.
