ABSTRACT: It was established that a comparative analysis of the occurrence rates of the genotypes of the polymorphic locus of the IL-10 gene (G1082A) in HCV patients with extrahepatic manifestations with and without cryoglobulinemia showed that the GG genotype was significantly more common in relation to the GA and AA genotypes, respectively, at 1.57 (P ≥ 0.05) and 5.50 times (P ≤ 0.001) in HCV patients with extrahepatic manifestations with cryoglobulinemia, and the difference between the GA and AA genotypes was 3.50 times in favor of the GA genotype (P ≤ 0.001). In the examined patients without cryoglobulinemia, the
occurrence of genotypes and their distribution had the same trend and variability as in patients
with the presence of this phenomenon. In both groups of patients, the trend of change was
identical with the results of healthy individuals. It has been established that cryoglobulenemia
has practically no effect on the occurrence of genotypes and alleles of the polymorphic locus of
the IL-10 gene (G1082A) in HCV patients with extrahepatic manifestations.
