Dilbar Ismatilloevna Rakhmatovaa
ABSTRACT: Neuropathy of the facial nerve leads to lesions of the cranial nerves. The incidence ranges from 10 to 53.3 per 100 thousand of the population in different countries, in particular, in Europe 20, in Japan 30 cases, almost the same number in men and women. Complications of facial nerve neuropathy occur in 25-30% of the population in Europe and Asia. The paper analyzes the clinical and neurological characteristics of patients with neuropathy of the facial nerve at different stages of the restoration of the functions of facial muscles. In
scientific work, 163 (100%) patients were examined, including 66 (40.5%) men, and 97 (59.5%) women, whose average age was 43 ± 3.4 years. It has been proven that the clinical course of facial nerve neuropathy in long-term periods manifests itself in the form of irreversible late complications, such as synkinesis and contracture of facial muscles, and has a severe course both psychologically, physically, and socially, reducing the quality of life of patients.
